Its OKAY, I guess.
But its still GLU. Theyll find a way to make the game awful in some sectors.
Like Their other games, that seem to be awesome when you look at the pictures but turn out… suckish.
I already have Dungeon hunter, but Im just seeing if the Glu version is better or worse. Graphics though are of an early ps2 game.
Everyone has their opinion about the gameplay, so I cant comment on that one. But some might like it.
Controls can be changed, so I cant say that theyre awkwardly positioned. but I totally love that you can attack and move with the trackpad/mouse. Its great that he starts to randomly attack nothing when youre trying to move with the mouse and then he locks onto attacking and i cant figure out how to stop…
Lets get to the upgrades now. Total failure here and I TOLD you theyd do something bad. They have a success rate. For upgrading. What. like, you get a 90% success rate of spending your earned coins and if you fail you practically lose your coins. And Im pretty sure the success rate lowers when you upgrade to a higher level. Or on other upgradable items. probably up to a 40% or something =/.
So how do you get the 100% success rate? Spend the real-life-in-game currency. Duh. Why would GLU put a game without in-app purchases? Youre crazy if you think that!
You start off with 5 of the purple Diamonds or something. and the upgrade with lets say a 60% success would turn into a 100% if youre spending the diamonds. So the first upgrade for the axes would cost 3 diamonds, even though you can get a 90% success rate without them. A little pricey. I would price it as 1 diamond IMO due to the 90% success without them.
But my first thoughts? Dungeon hunter is the better game. Just my opinion.
This game is still okay, just not my type.
